Objective
This course targets medical professionals who are new to
treating patients with tick-borne infections or would like a refresher
course on the fundamentals of diagnosis and treatment. Each attendee
should go away with practical information to help them in their everyday
practice.
Conference Description and Goals
- To learn the history and evolution of Lyme disease
- To learn the myriad of clinical presentations of Lyme disease and associated infections
- To learn how to properly choose and evaluate laboratory tests for tick-borne infections
- To learn appropriate treatment strategies for acute and chronic Lyme disease and associated co-infections
- To learn the medical literature that establishes an evidence-based medical practice in the treatment of tick-borne infections
